Building the stab is the same as building the wing. Actually it is easier because it is smaller and rectangular in shape. As before, push some pins into the plan along the leading edge of the stab as well as using the 'cross pin' method to hold the leading edge spar in position on the plan. (Make sure that you have rubbed some wax on the plan before pinning and gluing the wood or it may glue itself to the plan.)

Then position and pin the stab ribs on the plan as well as the trailing edge spar in the same manner as you did with the wing.

Here is the new Division B stab all pinned into position, and ready for gluing.

Apply the superglue and accelerator in the same way you did when gluing the wing.

After the stab has dried, then remove it from the plan. If a portion of the wood sticks to the plan, then just cut it loose from the plan with the razor. After the stab is free from the plan, then cut off any excess spar wood hanging out past the tip ribs as shown below.

*An alternate method to using pins is to use weights and rulers to hold the balsa in place.
